PHILOSOPHY
Anxiety and Trauma Therapist for Colorado Adults and Teens
It's nice to meet you!
My name is Erica, and I am a Licensed
Professional Counselor, Licensed Addiction Counselor,
and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
providing therapeutic mental health
services to individuals living in Colorado and Wisconsin.

You've found yourself on my page because you need support. And you know what? We all need mental health care at some point in our lives (I too have been to therapy!). So maybe it's important to you not only to choose a professional who is adequately trained, but who knows what sitting in the other chair truly feels like.

My specialities include anxiety, trauma
low self-esteem, attachment and relationship issues, as well as substance use.

Life has felt like a mountain of difficulties lately. Compounding stress and anxiety have left you on alert, unsure of yourself, and absolutely depleted. And maybe you're starting to get tired of feeling this way...

This is usually the time when people find themselves wondering if they need a bit more support than they're currently getting. Those internal indicators can be important to listen to, especially if they are nudging you to take the step to talk to a professional.

Just like your fingerprint, everyone's mental health is unique to them. As a therapist I strongly feel that what works for one person may not work for someone else, so flexibility and adjustment are key to getting you where you need and want to be.

In our work we will explore feelings that are really difficult to cope with, things that just seem to keep happening to you, how you have learned to view yourself, and influences from your lived experience. Together we will work to understand and define the root of the problems in your life, and how to find deeper understanding and relief. It's very important to me that we work to honor your unique needs, personality, as well as how you want to heal and grow. All while adding some humor and humanity along the way.

So what does therapy actually look like?

It's a designated time where you get to pause the rest of your world to focus on how you are existing in it. It's a place to chat about what's been bothering you lately and why, what you've realized isn't working anymore for you, or maybe it's a place where you're allowed to express exactly how you want the world to see you.

Therapy is where anything and everything about you is allowed to exist. If any of this resonates with you, I encourage you to scroll down and submit the "Let's Chat" form.
